"Movies to Come"

Well, I am sitting here after finishing a rather tough Computer Science program, just trying to relax.  Today is Valentine's Day so I wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day, including my Ashley Malee.  So, I have been sitting here just going through some miscellaneous sites and watching some movie trailers.  Before I do talk about the movies, however, I would like to point out that Apple's movie trailer site is rather, should I dare say, smashing.  The HD (High Definition) picture feature is a wonderful improvement overall.  Now, back to the movie thing.  Since the year of two thousand and eight has just kicked in, I think that I would share my choices for best movies.

1. I'm Not There

Now this movie is going to be a good one.  I was watching the preview and I must say that it looks nothing less than an awesome film.  The life of Bob Dylan in this film represent through his various alter-egos.  Even the late Heath Ledger brought a part to the movie.  So when it comes out, go and see this.  It looks wonderful!  I do not know the current release on it, but watch the preview and get ready for it!

2. The Duchess

Now, I am not one for old time romantic movies, but this movie looks grand also.  I enjoyed watching the television series The Tudors and this might explain why I think that I would enjoy this film.  It has Keira Knightly from Pirates of the Caribbean in it and she is an overall wonderful actor.  It seems to be about a duchess, duh, that wants to marry another, but has to settle for another man.  We all know, however, that she will not fall for him, but for the younger, more romantic guy.  However, I would insist on checking this movie out.

3. The Life Before Her Eyes

This movie has Uma Thurman in it and whom provided a wonderful series of films know as Kill Bill.  This movie is about a woman growing up and moving away after she gave birth to a child, and she eventually comes back to see that nothing has changed in her small town.  I usually do not go for this type of movie (or even recommend to other people), however, it looks wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone.  It will be showing in the US on the 18th of April, 2008.

4. 21

This movie is about a few MIT students who are really good at math, and their evil professor (who is played by Kevin Spacey) takes them to Las Vegas to count cards.  This is based off of a true story that I can not remember, but my father said that he remembered the story.  Jim Sturgess plays the lead MIT student whom the story revolves around.  Of course, there is some cussing, sex, and probably drugs involved.  I mean if you had a lot of money isn't that how you would picture it?  I would definitely check this movie out in March of 2008.

5. 88 Minutes

Here we go!  Action movie with one of the best actors of all time.  Must I say, This is going to be a good one!  Just watch the preview.
