Writely Beta : Google's Microsoft Word

I was, again, reading Slashdot.org and found where Google finally started a word processing application. Unlike Google Spreadsheets Beta, this word processing application was wonderful. The site is called Writely. Whenever I entered the site, I looked at the site to make sure that it was a Google site before I tried it out. I found the Google 2006 copyright on the bottom of the page and registered as a new user. I nice feature is just using your email to register. That is all that I had to to. Set a email address and a password. That started you off fast. After the registration, I was taken to the home user page. It was neat and you had different options of what to do. You could create "New" or "Upload." I tried to upload, but there was a error. This was also cerious. The error message read, "If this document is not that private, please email us the document to try to fix the bug." It said something like that, but that was an interesting solution to the problem. So, I went back to the home user page and clicked "New." The screen poped up like the screenshot above and asked me what the title of the document was to be called. I named it "Test Page."

I typed in my name and a few random words onto the document to see how they were presented onto the page. All the options that you could use on the document was easy to find and worked wonderfuly. You were presented with alot of options and it was not as hard to use as what the Google Spreadsheets was. The icons worked and I used the highligher. It was wonderful. All the tabs worked wonderfully and everything.

I give it a superior rating! Wonderful Word Processer!
